April Come She Will

Recycle Symbol Afghan

Earth Day is coming again and I've made another afghan to celebrate it.

It's tunisian crocheted with a size J cabled afghan hook.
I used I Love This Yarn in a color called Meadow.



Here's a close-up of the recycle symbol. (The colors are not true like they are in the first photo. I think I pushed that "white balance" button by accident and made the rest of the photos bluish. Why do they even have this button the camera? It's like the "Caps Lock" button on the keyboard. I think they only added them to make our lives miserable).

ANYWAY, I graphed out the recycle symbol on some graph paper. It was pretty easy to do. It's not perfect or anything.
I like the fact that the color is called meadow. It's very "earthy" and so is this afghan!

Aries Square

I finished the Aries square a while ago but I'm finally getting around to posting it. Click on the photo to enlarge it.

Things have been pretty crazy here. My husband has had a total knee replacement and I've been driving him around to therapy and doctors.

Our dog opened the refrigerator last night and got the Easter ham we had leftover. So I won't be making the bean soup I was looking forward to.

Anyway, I wanted to get that Aries square posted so I could put it away with the other squares in the closet. ( lol! I am envisioning a closet full of nerdy people right now.) .... Squares? .... Get it?

What can I say about Aries? I found a couple of cool items over on etsy that have the Aries ram on them.
